Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

✅ Positive Behavior

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Showing empathy towards other community members
  • Providing helpful and actionable feedback
  • Acknowledging contributions and giving credit where it's due

❌ Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, trolling, or discriminatory language based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other personal characteristics
  • Personal attacks, insults, or derogatory comments
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Sexual language, imagery, or unwelcome advances
  • Spamming, advertising, or self-promotion without context
  • Deliberate intimidation or stalking
  • Sustained disruption of discussions or events
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all RapidKit community spaces, including:

  • GitHub repositories (issues, pull requests, discussions)
  • Discord server
  • Social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Community events (online or in-person)
  • Email communications with maintainers

It also applies when representing the RapidKit community in public spaces (e.g., conferences, meetups).

Enforcement

Community maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior. They have the right and responsibility to:

  • Remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, and other contributions
  • Temporarily or permanently ban any contributor for behaviors deemed inappropriate

Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it to us at conduct@getrapidkit.com. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

When reporting, please include:

  • Your contact information
  • Details of the incident (who, what, when, where)
  • Links to relevant messages, issues, or discussions
  • Any additional context that may help us understand the situation

Consequences

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in consequences determined by community maintainers, including:

  1. Warning: A private written warning with clarity around the violation.
  2. Temporary Ban: Temporary suspension from community spaces (1 week to 1 month).
  3. Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from all community spaces for severe or repeated violations.

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
